The Second Annual YPPC One-Act Performances will feature two original One-Act plays. This unique experience gives writer’s an opportunity to present their work to an audience for the first time ever. This year’s winning entries were “Waking Zombies” written by Mitchell Roush and “I Bargained; Anticipation” by Lexi Martens.

Three men have recently had a room open up in their home and begin searching for a fourth renter. After someone named Will responds to the ad placed, it seems as if Carl, Lloyd, and Parker have their man… except Will is actually a woman. As all of the secrets they’ve been keeping suddenly find their way to the surface, these quirky, sometimes cantankerous, older men must decide whether accepting a female roommate can work in their currently all-male domain. It turns out some secrets are just too hard to keep.

The game is afoot in this mystery as Miss Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Dorothy Watson seeks to unravel the truth behind a series of mysterious deaths and a corrupt police investigator. Set in traditional Victorian era London, this story, written by Christopher M. Walsh, stays true to the world created by Sir Arthur Conon Doyle, but answers the question - What if Holmes and Watson were women rather than men?
